Pure Ice Sea-Quin & Finger Paints Tough Art To Follow

Hello, ladies! Today, I have for you lots and lots of pictures!!  ....And Finger Paints Tough Art To Follow topped with Pure Ice Sea-Quin!! I honestly loveee both of these polishes! Tough Art To Follow is a dark, forest green creme that appears almost black in some lighting. I've had this polish for a while and cant believe I hadn't used it until now!! I picked it up at Sally's a few months back as a red tag clearance item for only $2!! I like this color much better on my nails than in the bottle. Here you see two coats. I thought it was going to be a three coater but two seemed opaque enough but if I was wearing it alone I may have used two coats. I'll swatch it later on so you guys can see it alone.

I topped Tough Art To Follow with Pure Ice Sea-Quin, a lime-ish green glitter with lighter green holo diamonds. At first, I tried using this polish alone and decided it would take too many coats to reach full opacity, so I decided to just use it on top of Tough Art To Follow. I picked up Sea-Quin at WalMart on this new, fancy looking Pure Ice rack that sat at the end of an aisle away from all of the other nail polish. For those who are particularly fond of Pure Ice and don't know- they have a bunch of new polishes out! This is one of the few that I picked up.

Here is one coat of Sea-Quin on top of Tough Art To Follow (all pictures were taken in natural light unless the caption says otherwise):

And here is two coats of Sea-Quin on top of Tough Art To Follow:

And here, is a side by side comparison of the two:

I'm happy with how it turned out and glad that I used the two polishes together because I ended up really liking this mani!! What do you think of the two polishes together? Would you have used them together? Would you buy one or both of them? Until next time, happy polishing!!

Sinful Colors Kissy

Happy Wednesday! Well, almost Thursday I suppose, I hope everyone is had a good first half of the week. Mine is pretty good, but it's definitely weird not getting up early every single morning and going to work or school! I've been out of school three whole days and I already want to go back :/ But that's a good thing... right?!!?

Anyways- today, I have swatches of Sinful Colors Kissy to show you. Kissy is a very pigmented blue/green glitter in a teal jelly base. It's mainly blue/green micro glitter but also has a hit of gold in it as well. This polish is something that you really have to see for yourself because pictures just don't quite do it justice.

The application of Kissy was amazing! I used 3 coats and from the first one to the last one it went on smooth and was extremely easy to work with. I had almost zero clean up on my cuticles.. and that really says something because I'm usually quite the mess maker :/

This is it! This is all of the clean up I had!

However, I knew this polish was too good to be true- a beautiful duo-chrome glitter for $2. Remember at the being of the post, when I said "very pigmented"? Well... It stained. I usually don't mention in my posts that I 99% of the time use a base coat (either Seche Vite base coat or OPI base coat). I only swatched Kissy, took pictures, and ran to the store really quick before taking it off and it still stained after being on for all of about 30 minutes.

I also used Kissy in another post, which you can see here.

Staining isn't a very big deal to me, someone who never has naked nails, but for those that do or that mind staining- I wouldn't recommend using Kissy. Otherwise it really is a great polish. Beautiful color. Easy application. Cheap price. What do you think of Kissy? Would you wear it even though it stains? Until next time, happy polishing!

Sinful Colors Let's Meet and All About You

Yellow is one of my favorite colors.. but it looks horrible with my skin tone!!  So as much as I love it, you'll almost never see me wearing something yellow, and rarely with a yellow mani.  But.. I had to get my yellow-fix in, so today's mani is Sinful Colors Let's Meet with a Sinful Colors All About You on top!  Let's Meet is a shimmery, bright, glass flecked yellow.  The application of this polish was good, its pretty thin though and here in the first picture show is 3 coats!  On top of Let's Meet is just one, thick coat of Sinful Colors All About You, which is a very sheer gold.  And actually for a glitter its pretty smooth and not very rough like most glitters.  After putting All About You on it turned it somewhat of a mustard-yellow color, see for yourself!

This is the 3 coats of SC Meet Me, prior to glitter and clean up!

I don't think this mani turned out too bad, but I don't see myself doing it again- at least on myself.  What do you guys think??  Happy polishing!!

Revlon Top Speed Cherry and OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It

Today, I was in a red mood.  Usually, I don't like most reds because they always seem to stain no matter what base coat I use!!  I used 3 coats of Revlon Top Speed Cherry.  I really like all of the Revlon Top Speed polishes, but Cherry seemed to be thick but at the same time it wasn't very opaque.  It was hard to work with so I put two drops Orly Nail Polish Thinner in and it made it much easier and reached full opacity after 3 coats.

As much as I don't like most reds on my own fingers, this is a beautiful color!  It seemed a little plain though, sort of like it was missing something.. so I added one coat of OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It from OPI's Muppet's collection!!  I love love love the polishes in the Muppet's collection and I can't wait to show you guys more from the collection later on!  But for now, here is Gettin' Miss Piggy With It  over Cherry:

Once I was completely finished- I realized how much this mani reminds me of Minnie Mouse!!  I love it!!
