That One Nail Polish Sex and the City Collection

Hello ladies!  Today, I have for you my first full collection!  This collection was inspired by Sex and the City and its 5 main characters!  These, as well as my other polishes, can be found on my website, click here!!  Also, I have to show you another new polish, Good Game!

First, from The Sex and the City collection is Carrie-d Away, the Carrie inspired polish.  Carrie-d Away is a mixture of hot pink, pastel pink, and light pink hex glitters in a clear base!  I particularly like this polish over a black base, here's my swatch:

Next we have Big Heartbreaker, the Mr. Big inspired polish from The Sex and the City collection.  Big Heartbreaker is one of my personal favorites from the collection!  Its contains black and white shred glitter in a clear base.  So simple, but yet so "Mr. Big"-ish.  I think, at least!   I've dying to swatch it over a bright color, but here is my swatch over grey:

Next up- Oh So Charlotte, the Charlotte inspired polish from The Sex and the City collection.  People seem to like this one best of all!  Oh So Charlotte is a beautiful polish consisting of pastel pink, lavender, and aqua hex glitters in a clear base.  I swatched Oh So Charlotte over black but it would look great over any color!

Fabulous Samantha, the Samantha inspired polish from the collection, is one of my personal favorites!  It's a mixture of pastel blue and blue square glitters, with blue hex glitters in a clear base.  I swatched Fabulous Samantha over black!

Last but definitely not least, we have Miranda Rights, the Miranda inspired polish from The Sex and the City collection!  Miranda Rights is a gorgeous mixture of emerald and black hex glitters with fine black hex glitters in a clear base.  I think this polish fits Miranda so well!  I've swatched Miranda Rights over a metallic silver:

In addition to The Sex and the City collection, I have another new polish to show you that was recently added to my website!  This polish was originally a custom, but I loved it so much that I decided to add it to my website!  Good Game is a mixture of orange and black shred glitter and is perfect for San Francisco Giants fans, fall, or for anyone who loves orange or bright colors!  I swatched Good Game over white:

And there you have it!  All of the new polishes on thatonenailpolish.com!  Check out my website for more info and pricing, click here!  And until next time- happy polishing!

Hello beautiful ladies!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!  Today I have for you, Part 2 of That One Nail Polish polishes!  You can see and purchase these polishes at my website, click here!!

We'll start off with Once in a Blue Moon.  In my opinion Once in a Blue Moon is a very different polish and I can say that I don't have anything really like it in my entire collection!  It has white hex glitter in a black/blue shimmery base.  The pictures of this polish definitely don't do it justice at all.  Here is 2 coats of Once in a Blue Moon:
Here is Once in a Blue Moon in sunlight
And in artificial light.
Next, is On The Rocks.  Another of my personal favs.  And one of my most popular polishes.  On The Rocks is a mixture of black and white hex glitters in a milky white base.  See for yourself how gorgeous this polish is:

Anyone that knows me knows that I love camo.  I've been trying to perfect a camo mani but it's pretty difficult.  So in the mean time I've come up with a camo polish!  Ranger is a mix of a tan, light brown, dark brown, green, and moss green hex glitters in a clear base.  I would say this is probably the ultimate camo glitter!  Here is one coat Ranger over black:

Next, we have Ready, Set, Hex! another of my most popular polishes.  Ready, Set, Hex! is a mixture of aqua, turquoise, orange, lavender, and emerald hex glitter in clear base.  Its a perfect mixture of colors and looks great over black and many other colors!
Natural light

Direct sunlight
Last but not least, we have Wipeout!  Everyone seems to really like this polish.  Why?  Because its gorgeous!  It contains a mixture of beautiful blue, neon blue, and black hex glitters.  This is another one of my personal favorites!  Take a look:

And there you have Part 2 of my indie line.  Coming next: Swatches of my Sex and the City collection.  Don't forget you can see and purchase these polishes on my website, thatonenailpolish.com  Check it out!  And until next time- happy polishing!

That One Nail Polish Part 1

Hello ladies!!  I hope everyone has had a good month!  I'm posting today to show you the polishes, so far, in my indie line!  This will just be a quick peek at some of my polishes (hence- Part 1), you can always find more info and prices on my website, click here!  Most are available in mini and full size bottles!

So here we go!  In no particular order.. here is Annabella, a black and red medium hex glitter with black bar glitter in a shimmery silver base.  Annabella could be worn alone, but in my opinion looks best over a base color.  In my swatches I used a very light pink base color.
One coat
Two coats

Next up is All Shook Up, one of my valentines day polishes.  All Shook Up consists of pink, and black medium sized hex glitters, fine red hex glitter, and white hearts in a clear base.  This polish is the perfect mix for those who want a valentines day polish, but don't want something too pink and girly!  I used 2 different colors in my swatches to make sure everyone could see all of the glitter in the polish very well!  Both swatches have 2 thin coats of All Shook Up.
2 coats over a metallic silver.

2 coats over a blue/gray
Next is Blue Are You?, one of my personal favorites!  Blue Are You? is a royal blue color with shifting rainbow hex glitter.  Its hard to tell that it actually shifting rainbow hex glitter because it actually just looks like a jelly sandwich in a bottle!  I've used 2 coats in my swatch below.

Cleopatra is a gorgeous mixture of gold and turquoise hex glitters!  This has got to be another of my personal favorites.  The glitters are in a clear base and go on sooo smooth.  No fishing for glitter here!

Next, we have Fairy Dust!  This polish is a top coat polish and looks good over any color!  I've chosen to layer it over black.  On my index and middle finger is one coat and on my middle and pinky finger is two coats!

Next is JAM.  JAM was created by my best friend, and if you knew her- you'd know that JAM is so... her.  It's a multi-colored glitter in a purple base.  Gorgeous?  YES!!  Here is two coats of JAM:

Jazz is somewhat like Cleopatra.  Its a sandy gold colored glitter with rose colored glitter in a clear base.  This seems to be one of everyone's favorite.  I've layered it over a maroon color but it would look great over any color!

And last but definitely not least from Part 1, Mr. Michael!  Mr. Michael got it's name because it was made by my fantabulous boyfriend, Michael.  It's a beautiful periwinkle with holo gold hex glitters and a hint of gold flakes!

That's all for Part 1 of That One Nail Polish polishes!  Stay tuned for Part 2 and for my newest collection, Sex and the City!  And again- you can find more pictures of these polishes and buy them at my website, thatonenailpolish.com!  Thanks for reading and until next time- happy polishing!!

Zoya Faye

Hello lovely ladies!!  Its been a while!  A couple months ago, when Zoya was having the 3 polishes free with $10 shipping, I ordered my 3 and they FINALLY got here this week!  I've got a short post for today... These are the first Zoya's I've every owned and so far I must say- I'm not disappointed!

Zoya Faye is a rosey, mauvey, sparkle polish- honestly, that's the best way I can describe it!!  Faye has a pink/purple undertone color and shifts from gold, pink, purple- depending on what lighting your in!  I'm very happy with my first Zoya!  Faye went on smooth and in 3 very think coats, there wasn't any problem reaching opacity.  Also, I LOVE the Zoya brushes! They're big, but not too big that it makes it hard to control the polish.

This polish was hard to photograph, only because it was hard to capture all of the colors in it!  I did the best I could though and this is what I got:

I love it!!  I chose this polish as one of my 3 free polishes because I didn't have anything really like it in my collection.  I wasn't too sure I was going to like it- but I actually really do!  What do you think of Zoya Faye?  Did you take advantage of Zoya's 3 free polishes back in December/January?  If you, which ones did you get and what do you think of them?  As always, I LOVE to hear from you guys and love any sort of feed back :)  Thanks for reading, and until next time- happy polishing!

China Glaze Tranzitions Modify Me

Good morning ladies!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend, I know mine has been pretty awesome! Today, I have a polish from the China Glaze Tranzitions collection to show you.

Yesterday at Sally's, I picked up two Tranzitions polishes- one for me and one for Julie, my awesome nail mail buddy. I chose to use Modify Me, a periwinkle creme that shifts to an indigo blue once with a top coat. The formula was very thick and you could easy get away with one coat. I choose to use 2 because I had a small bare spot on a couple nails, and since I knew I wouldn't have a too coat over the entire polish. Once Modify Me had dried just a little bit, it was already showing ever little indent and imperfection in my nails. Also, it took a quite a while to dry, or maybe it just seemed that way because I didn't use my fast drying Seche top coat.

After my nails were totally dry, I used a dotting tool and my Seche Vite top coat to creat the dots. About 5-10 seconds after applying the top coat, that area of the top coat had turned to the indigo blue color.

Excuse my dry cuticles!! This winter weather is KILLING them!! If anyone wants to suggest what they use on their cuticles, I'd love to know!!

I really like the concept of the Tranzitions collection, but I was actually surprised at how much I actually disliked this polish. Mainly because for being so thick, streaky, and it showing pretty much every imperfection of my nails. Also, I hate not being able to wear a top coat over my entire nail. I wont be buying any more polishes from this collection, or recommending them to anyone! I'm perfectly okay with using two different bottles of polish to active the same look! Also, I would never send my nail mail buddy something that I don't even like! So it's back to Sally's to find something better!

So there you have it!! And I think this is actually my first negative review of a polish so far on That One Nail Blog!! Have you tried any polishes from the Tranzitions collection?? If not, are you planning to? Let me know in the comments below and until next time, happy polishing!!

My First "Indie"

Hello ladies!! Today, I have a quick post for you of my first, I guess you could technically say- indie polish!!  I have a ton of empty Seche bottles and thought, why not throw together my own polish!!

Blues are one of my favorite colors, so I wanted to make a blue polish.  I picked out a few (actually a lot) polishes and started mixing!!!

These are the polishes I used:

I forgot to write down the names, so maybe later on I'll go back through and get the names.  I used a little of some polishes and a lot of other polishes, and this is what I came up with:

Indirect sunlight

Small sliver, blue, and purple glitters with medium sized silver hex glitters in a medium/light blue base.. with a little bit of holo glitter thrown in there too!  Wow that's a mouthful!!  Gorgeous?!  Yes!!  I think so!  I also made a red one, which I'll show you later on!  It doesn't have a name yet- any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Here are some more pictures:
